Director of Administration & Compliance

POSITION OVERVIEW  & FACT SHEET

Faith Builders Day Care is seeking a detail-oriented professional with strong administrative abilities to serve as the Director of Administration and Compliance.  The ideal candidate will enjoy working as a team with the Executive Director to ensure the facility operates smoothly, adheres to all regulations, and is a nurturing, Christ-centered environment for children and families.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure the facility meets all state and federal childcare regulations
    • Maintain necessary licenses and certifications
    • Stay informed about changes in childcare laws and regulations
    • Conduct regular internal audits to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Administrative Oversight:
    • Oversee record-keeping for children, families, and employees
    • Maintain and update facility policies and procedures
    • Coordinate facility maintenance and safety protocols
  • Financial Management:
    • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring
    • Oversee billing and payment processes
    • Manage payroll and benefits administration
  • Human Resources:
    • Assist in recruitment and hiring processes
    • Ensure staff compliance with training requirements
    • Maintain personnel files and records
  • Christian Values Integration:
    • Ensure administrative practices align with the facility's values as a Christian Day Care facility
    • Assist in implementing faith-based policies and programs

Qualifications:

  • Strong administrative skills with an attention to detail
  • Previous experience and knowledge of childcare regulations and licensing requirements in Pennsylvania
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Fast learner and adaptable to change and new processes
  • Proficiency in administrative software and systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Enjoys working with children and is willing and able to assist staff in providing care for children at the day care when needed
  • A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and the ability to effectively blend Christian principles with professional childcare management

Education and Experience:

  • The state of Pennsylvania has education and experience requirements for individuals who serve as a Director in an licensed Day Care facility.   Our ideal candidate for the position of Director of Administration and Compliance would be someone who meets the qualifications of the state and has strong administrative skills.  Pennsylvania mandated requirements are as follows:
1)   A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year of experience with children; or
2)   A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 2 years of experience with children; or
3)    An associate degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 3 years of experience with children; or
4)   An associate degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 4 years of experience with children.
  • Faith Builders Day Care will also consider applicants who have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Education Administration, Human Resources, or related field and/or 2-4 years working in an administrative role in a professional environment.

  • EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR POSITION: Faith Builders Day Care is also hiring an Executive Director.  The Director of Administration and Compliance will work alongside and support the work of the Executive Director who is responsible for the daily administration of oversight of the Day Care.   • HOURS/SALARY/BENEFITS:  The Position is full time. We offer a competitive wage commensurate with experience and education.  Additional benefits are negotiable.
