Executive Director

POSITION OVERVIEW  & FACT SHEET

Faith Builders Day Care is seeking an experienced visionary leader to serve as Executive Director of our Christian Day Care facility. The ideal candidate will combine a strong faith foundation with excellent management and communication skills to oversee our mission of providing high-quality, Christ-centered care and early education.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the day care facility
  • Manage staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
  • Create and maintain a nurturing, safe environment for children
  • Engage and develop a strong partnership with parents  
  • Select, develop, and implement curriculum aligned with Christian values and early childhood education best practices
  • Foster a Christ-centered atmosphere throughout the organization
  • Develop and manage the facility's budget in coordination with the Director of Administration and Compliance
  • Provide oversight and work with the Director of Administration and Compliance to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and licensing requirements

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of child development and early education principles
  • Demonstrated leadership and administrative skills
  • Experience coaching and managing staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children and adults
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively address unexpected challenges
  • A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and the ability to effectively blend Christian principles with professional childcare management

Education and Experience:

(Note: These are state mandated requirements for this position)
1)   A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year of experience with children; or
2)   A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 2 years of experience with children; or
3)    An associate degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 3 years of experience with children; or
4)   An associate degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 4 years of experience with children.

Additional Information:

  • DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATION AND COMPLIANCE: Faith Builders Day Care is also hiring a Director of Administration and Compliance to work alongside and assist the Executive Director with administration and compliance requirements.  The Director of Administration and Compliance is a full-time position.   •  START DATE:  Immediate Opening
  • HOURS/SALARY/BENEFITS:  The Position is full time. We offer a competitive wage commensurate with other Day Care Directors and early learning educators in public education.  Additional benefits are negotiable.
